Hi! My name is Mrs. McAllister, and I’m so excited to be starting my first year as a kindergarten teacher. I completed a year-long student teaching experience at Hedges Elementary, which confirmed my passion for early childhood education and has prepared me for this new adventure.

I grew up in Bigfork and proudly served in the United States Air Force before pursuing my education. I earned my associate degree from Flathead Valley Community College and my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from the University of Montana.

My husband and I have two wonderful kids (Luke, 5 and Lainey, 1), a playful dog (Millie), and two sweet cats (Minnie and Licorice). As a family, we love spending time outdoors—especially camping and riding our side-by-side. Personally, I enjoy painting, reading, gardening (I’m new at this so tips are appreciated!), and spending quality time with my kids.

My classroom philosophy is all about growing our "struggle muscles"—embracing challenges and learning how to use a growth mindset. I believe in hands-on learning and creating opportunities for children to explore and grow through real-world experiences. My goal is to foster a supportive and engaging environment where each child feels confident and excited to learn.

I’m looking forward to a fun and memorable year full of learning and growth with my kindergarteners!
